We give habits a bad name. I’m thinking Bon Jovi now… And it’s like we’re doubly beating ourselves up by calling certain habits bad.
🔔 How about looking at our habits in a different light?
🔔 Instead of judging, condemning and blaming both our habits and ourselves, how about looking at where they’ve come from?
🔔 And which healthier activities might give us that same feel-good feeling or confidence kick by way of replacement?
Let’s be clear about one thing: just because the repetition of your habit is “no longer” serving you, does not make you bad, or even your habit.
Behind every habit lies a positive intention 💡

So, what’s your magic tip for getting to grips with less welcome habits?
If you’ve ever tried to kick a habit of any kind, you’ll know how challenging it can be on an emotional and confidence level.
…Not feeling great about something you’re struggling to change.
But changing how we think about habits is key – Shedding positive light on something we have almost been conditioned to judge as bad. And bad means blame!
Here are 3 places to start:
🔔 Don’t blame yourself
🔔 Don’t blame your habit
🔔 Don’t blame the situation that ignited your habit in the first place
In fact, do the opposite! Say thank you to your habit. Show it some gratitude for highlighting what it is you’re needing to solve.
Give your habit a break! And cut yourself some slack ⚡
